Part of our adventure began in 2001, when the company Oceancat entered the market as a pioneer in the rental and distribution of different brands of boats of the Beneteau group on the south coast of Spain. After 20 years of chartering, with more than 20 boats with service in Ibiza, Croatia, Greece, Portugal and more, Oceancat joined forces with Cat40 Charter and decided to export their unique concept to Mexico, a different boat rental experience, directly from Ibiza, with modern boats, a tailor-made service and a first class crew. That’s how FLOAT Mexico was born.
In April 2021, departing from Rompido, Spain and after 3 months of sailing in the Atlantic, the first boat arrived, the “IBIZA”, a Lagoon 2019 catamaran fully equipped to guarantee the best catamaran experience in the Bay. After a year of work, we have managed to position ourselves as one of the most rented boats in Puerto Vallarta, making Float a company strongly recommended among clients and boat rental agencies in Puerto Vallarta.
Thanks to all this effort and discipline, we are proud that the project continues to grow. In June 2022, we were honored to obtain the official and exclusive representation of the EXCESS catamaran brand for all of Mexico.
We want all this experience to help us to transmit to many more people, the special feeling that is “a good day sailing”.
